Artist Steve Barton
Steve Barton
Steve Barton is known for his bold, brightly colored, impressionistic scenes and still life's. Perhaps one of the most recognizable features of Steve’s art is his patented wavey frame design. It’s not often you forget seeing a painting where the whole frame and canvas bend and curve together to make a complete artwork.
Originally from New Hampshire, Steve fell in love with painting landscapes, covered bridges and tree lined streets. That love has not diminished over the years, although his subject matter has gone from East Coast scenes to tropical dreams. He draws inspiration from the coastal scenes around him in his current hometown of San Diego, California, and from his travels. Steve is featured in dozens of galleries across the USA, and visits often to showcase his work at different locations throughout the year.
When Steve isn’t painting, he enjoys the outdoors, hunting, gardening, cooking, playing with his dog and tending to his chickens. He is blessed to be a Grandpa to his 4 grandchildren and enjoys time spent with them.
Steve’s art is a window into his heart and soul. Painting and creating isn’t only his livelihood, it’s his passion, his expression of joy.
